The Chairman of the Tin-Can Island Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Mr. Olawale Cole, on Friday said that effective policing is critical to national security and economic growth, particularly in port environments where safety, order, and collaboration among stakeholders are essential.

Mr. Olawale Cole gave this assertion in a statement released on Friday where he extended warm congratulations to Tunji Disu on his appointment as the new Inspector General of Police.

Prince Cole described the appointment as well deserved, noting that Tunji Disu’s years of professional experience, discipline, and commitment to public service have clearly distinguished him within the Nigeria Police Force.

He expressed confidence that the new Inspector General will bring renewed vigour, professionalism, and integrity to policing across the country.

He emphasised that the association looks forward to improved synergy between the Police and port users in ensuring secure and efficient operations at Tin Can Island Port and other gateways nationwide.

Mr. Olawale Cole further wished the new Inspector General divine wisdom, strength, and success as he assumes the responsibility of leading the Nigeria Police Force, while reaffirming ANLCA’s readiness to support initiatives that promote security, rule of law, and national development.
