Ahead of the 2027 elections, the Zamfara State chapter of the Action Alliance (AA) has elected new state executives, with Hon. Shehu Hussaini Waziri emerging as the state chairman.
The election, which produced the new AA executives in Zamfara State, was held in Gusau, the state capital, in the presence of representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other security agencies.
The Chairman of the Electoral Planning Committee, Bello Hussaini, alongside the Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, and a committee member, Nuhu Sayyadi, described the exercise as transparent, free, fair, and credible.
“The consensus exercise was free, fair and transparent and ended successfully in a mature manner,” the electoral committee stated.
Those who emerged include Hon. Shehu Hussaini as state chairman; Muhammad Tambari S. Kaya as deputy chairman; Bashiru Usman Tafida as secretary; Alhaji Umaru Gama Giwa as treasurer; Rukkaya Namadi as state women leader; and Ashiru Lawali Nagoma as public relations officer.
At the senatorial level, those elected are Alhaji Lawali Ibrahim Kaura for Zamfara North, Barrister Mahadi Ibrahim for Zamfara Central, and Abubakar Lawal Bukkuyum for Zamfara West.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Zamfara AA Chairman, Hon. Shehu Hussaini Waziri, said he is committed to changing the narrative in 2027 through grassroots mobilisation and an inclusive administration of the party in the state.
He called on supporters to register and obtain their membership cards ahead of the 2027 general election.
“AA digital membership registration has commence as stated across all Wards, and Local Government with support of our Leaders of this great party,i call on our supporters to ensure they have register and get membership card a head of 2027 general election,” he said.
