Ogunbayo declares bid for Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Federal Constituency seat under APC

Honourable Tobi Ogunbayo has officially thrown his hat into the ring, announcing his aspiration for the seat of the Ibadan South-West/North-West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at a declaration event in Ibadan on Friday, Ogunbayo outlined his vision for the constituency, promising a raft of social welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents.

The aspirant vowed to provide free medical services, including delivery for pregnant women and free eyeglasses for the elderly and those with eye problems. He also pledged to deploy emergency ambulances across the constituency and support parents with free books to boost education.

Ogunbayo further promised to establish microfinance banks in both south-west and north-west Ibadan to empower unemployed graduates, describing it as a first-of-its-kind initiative in the state’s history. Additionally, he vowed to provide free transport within the constituencies and establish two standard libraries, one in each constituency.

“I promise to spread the dividend of democracy to the people at the grassroots once elected,” Ogunbayo declared.
